Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Drain the canned peaches, reserving the syrup. Arrange the peaches on top of the batter evenly.
Drizzle a little of the reserved syrup over the peaches and sprinkle the top with ground cinnamon.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, for a delightful treat!
