Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender.
Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired.
Once fully blended, taste and add more cocoa for a richer chocolate flavor, or more almond milk for a lighter consistency, if necessary.
Spoon the mousse into individual serving bowls or glasses.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up and enhance the flavors.
Before serving, top with coconut whipped cream, fresh berries, or shaved chocolate as desired.
