Method
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In a separate large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) with a spatula until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, keeping space between each cookie to allow for spreading.
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie ball to enhance the flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: About 24 cookies
- Presentation Tips: Serve the cookies warm with a glass of milk or coffee. For an extra touch, arrange them on a decorative plate and dust with powdered sugar.
