Prepare the Grapes: Rinse the seeded grapes thoroughly under cold water and pat them dry with a clean towel. Make sure they are completely dry to help the coating stick.
Make the Sour Coating: In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar and citric acid. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of the sourness.
Add Citrus Flavor: In a small separate bowl, mix the lemon juice and water together, then add this mixture to the sugar and citric acid mixture. Stir until it forms a slightly wet sand-like consistency.
Coat the Grapes: Place the dry grapes into a large mixing bowl. Gradually sprinkle the sour sugar mixture over the grapes, tossing gently to coat them evenly. Continue until all grapes are covered.
Set and Dry: Arrange the coated grapes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the coating to set, or place them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Serve: Enjoy the Sour Patch Grapes immediately as a sweet and tangy snack, or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
