In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, dried thyme, paprika powder, Dijon mustard, egg, and breadcrumbs to the meat mixture.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix everything together until well combined. You may find it easier to use your hands for this step.
Once mixed, shape the meat mixture into round patties, about 2 cm thick. Dredge each patty in breadcrumbs for a crispy outer layer.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties to the pan, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Adjust the heat as needed to prevent burning.
Once cooked, transfer the Frikadellen to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
