Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper, and toss until the green beans are well-coated.
Spread the green beans evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the green beans.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Once finished, remove from the oven and drizzle the lemon juice over the top before serving.
