1/4cupcrushed peppermint candies (plus extra for topping)
1pinchsalt
Instructions
Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips with half of the sweetened condensed milk (7 oz). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. Set aside.
Make the White Chocolate Mixture: In another bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the remaining sweetened condensed milk. Again, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth.
Add Flavors: Stir in the peppermint extract and vanilla extract into the melted white chocolate mixture. Add a pinch of salt and crushed peppermint candies (reserve a small amount for topping).
Assemble the Fudge: Pour the semi-sweet chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Then, gently spoon the white chocolate mixture on top, trying to keep it as even as possible.
Swirl Effects: Using a knife or toothpick, gently swirl the two layers together to create a marbled effect without completely combining them.
Chill: Sprinkle the reserved crushed peppermint candies on top of the fudge. Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours, or until completely set.
Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into small squares and serve.
Notes
Arrange the fudge squares on a festive platter, and optionally, drizzle with extra melted chocolate for added flair. Garnish with whole peppermint candies for a colorful touch!
