Method
Start by brewing the blue butterfly pea flower tea. Use 1 cup of dried flowers and steep them in 2 cups of hot water for about 10 minutes. Strain and let the tea cool completely.
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and honey/agave syrup. Stir well until the syrup is fully dissolved.
Once the butterfly pea flower tea is cooled, slowly add it to the lemon juice mixture. The color will shift to a vibrant blue.
Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
Taste the limonada and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey/agave. If it’s too tart, you can mix in additional water.
Chill the limonada in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve the limonada in glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
