Method
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
Stir in the red pepper flakes if using, then add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
Flip the shrimp over and add the lemon juice and zest, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until shrimp are fully cooked and coated in the buttery sauce.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
