Method
In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Once the garlic is aromatic, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir to coat the mushrooms with the garlic butter.
Sprinkle in the dried thyme, dried rosemary, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.
Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper to taste.
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the mushroom mixture and give it a final stir.
Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley just before serving.
