Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and maple syrup (if using), mixing until fully combined.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the pie is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
