Instructions
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, gently folding it into the creamy spinach sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired, to taste.
Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve the creamy tortellini in warm bowls, garnished with fresh basil leaves and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top.
