Start by cooking the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of the pasta water before draining the pasta.
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the creamy avocado sauce. In a food processor or blender, combine the avocados, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh basil, Greek yogurt, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Once the pasta is cooked and drained, return it to the pot. Add the avocado sauce to the hot pasta and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach your desired consistency.
Drizzle with olive oil and toss it again to mix everything well.
Serve immediately, garnished with halved cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
