Begin by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the creamy avocado sauce. In a food processor, combine the avocados, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, olive oil, basil leaves, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Once the pasta is cooked and drained, return it to the pot over low heat. Add the creamy avocado sauce and a splash of the reserved pasta water. Stir well to combine until the pasta is thoroughly coated. If the sauce is too thick, add more reserved water until you reach desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Serve the creamy avocado pasta immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes, if desired.
