1
teaspoon

0.5
teaspoon
ground nutmeg
1
cup
cranberry juice
Fresh cranberries and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is pale and creamy.
In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, and ground nutmeg. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is steaming but not boiling.
Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg and sugar mixture, whisking constantly to temper the eggs and prevent curdling.
Pour the combined mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring gently until thickened (about 5-7 minutes). Do not let it boil.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cranberry juice until well combined.
Let the eggnog cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
Before serving, give the eggnog a good stir. Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh cranberries and a cinnamon stick.
Notes
Chill the eggnog for at least 2 hours before serving for the best flavor.
