Method
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add the butter. Let it melt and coat the pan evenly.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 15 seconds on each side. Let any excess mixture drip off.
Place the soaked bread slices onto the heated skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until golden brown.
Flip the slices and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the second side is also golden brown.
Remove the French toast from the skillet and serve immediately.
Drizzle with warm maple syrup and, if desired, top with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar.
