shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

diced cooked ham

puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed

egg
beaten (for egg wash)

dried oregano

garlic powder

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, diced ham, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
Unroll the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into strips about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long.
Place about a tablespoon of the cheese and ham mixture at the center of each pastry strip.
Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal. Optionally, create a decorative twist or braid with the edges.
Brush the top of each stick with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
Drizzle a little olive oil over the sticks to enhance the flavor and help with browning.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs and a side of dipping sauce.
