Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas until smooth.
Stir in the baking soda and salt until well incorporated, then add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well blended.
Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix – a few lumps are okay!
If using, gently incorporate the chopped nuts and cinnamon into the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
